Vitamins and Herbs

There are many vitamins and herbs that will work well alongside your healthy eating plan.
Always make sure you check with your doctor first before taking any supplements.
Here are some that I think are useful when you are trying to lift your mood.
The wheat grass juice is a must for energy I take a shot every day and feel great for it!!
Always read the labels and make sure to only take the stated dose.

Oats avena sativa

Avena sativa is a traditional herbal nerve tonic made from fresh oat seeds. It is known to have a nutritive and restorative action on the nervous system. It also has mild sedative properties.
Avena sativa has also been used to treat addiction - the most common form in our modern society is the dependence on nicotine. Withdrawal of this, or any other drug, would draw on both the psychological and physical reserves of the individual.

Valerian

The root of valerian, a perennial herb native to North America, Asia, and Europe,
Valerian root has been used for centuries to calm nervous disorders, and is said to calm the central nervous system. It is also good for helping with insomnia.

St johns wort

St. John's wort is a perennial, yellow-flowering plant that grows in the wild throughout Europe and is now found also in North America. .
St. John's wort has been used as a popular herbal folk remedy for centuries. More recently, practitioners of conventional Western medicine have been exploring its utility for treating depression and anxiety.

Wheat grass

Health practitioners have long preached the benefits of wheatgrass, due to its chlorophyll content.
Wheatgrass contains all amino acids, is full of essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, vitamins A, C and Bs, is high in iron and vitamin K*. And we mustn’t forget about the enzymes wheatgrass juice delivers. Enzymes are complex protein compounds produced by living cells that speed up biochemical reactions required for proper and normal functioning of every organ system and have also been found to aid digestion!
Wheatgrass juice boasts 60% of the body's recommended daily allowance for vitamin K in a one-ounce shot (other sources include broccoli, soybeans, brussel sprouts and cabbage). Vitamin K is necessary for blood clotting and bone formation and may help prevent osteoporosis.
