Sugar - friend or foe?
Why do you feel awful when you eat sugar?
Basically, when you eat high amounts of sugar your body is always looking for the next sugar rush. Just like a cocaine addict, you become addicted to sugar and you have to keep feeding that addiction to maintain the "high." The continual rising and falling blood sugar levels can be levelled out when you start eating a low-carb diet. I am so glad I was able to overcome my sugar addiction and my life is becoming better every day. Remember this: sugar, white flour, and starchy foods, chocolate and most processed foods all turn into sugar in the body when they are consumed. Your body needs these foods about as much as it needs cocaine. End of discussion.
