Meditation
Today meditation is used not only by religious sects but the general public are realising that there is a mountain of benefits to be had by practising meditation.
To me meditation does not have to be difficult and I don’t think you have to be highly disciplined to do it if you don’t want to be, although that’s ok for some people.
Meditation is where you give you brain and body a rest from the stress of the world and just look inwards for a moment or two, just by focussing on the breath and slowing the breathing down you can achieve a great sense of peace.
If you want to try meditation how about this:
Firstly make a pleasant clear space for where you are going to meditate, light a candle and sit in front of the candle, keeping your focus on the flame and as you take deep slow breathes in imagine that you are breathing the flame deep inside you and that the flame resembles life energy, keep doing this for a few minutes. Allow your thoughts to come and go but don’t analyse them.
How do you feel now?
